These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of discoverriyadh.ai (the “Site”), operated by Discover Riyadh, a publication of The Vanderbilt Portfolio AG (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Site.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Site, you represent and warrant that you are at least 16 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are accessing the Site on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

Your continued use of the Site following any changes to these Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and such modifications will be effective immediately upon posting.

2. Description of Service

Discover Riyadh provides editorial content, market intelligence, data analysis, and research related to Riyadh tourism, travel, and visitor experiences. The Site publishes articles, dashboards, entity profiles, comparisons, glossary entries, and other informational content.

The Site is a journalism and research platform. Content published on the Site is for informational and educational purposes only.

3. Intellectual Property Rights

3.1 Our Content

All content on the Site, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, data compilations, and software, is the property of The Vanderbilt Portfolio AG or its licensors and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

3.2 Limited License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and view the content on the Site for personal, non-commercial use. This license does not include:

  • Reproducing, distributing, or publicly displaying any content.
  • Modifying or creating derivative works from the content.
  • Using any data mining, scraping, or similar data-gathering tools.
  • Downloading or copying content for the benefit of a third party.

  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Site, except as explicitly permitted in our robots.txt file.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD $100).

The Site displays advertisements served primarily by Google AdSense and potentially other advertising networks. We are not responsible for the content of advertisements or for any products or services advertised. The presence of an advertisement on the Site does not constitute an endorsement.

9. Premium Content

Certain content on the Site may be designated as premium and may require a subscription or payment to access. Premium tiers include Professional, Institutional, and Enterprise levels, each offering different features, data access, and pricing structures as described on our Premium Intelligence page. Specific terms governing premium subscriptions will be presented at the time of purchase and supplement these Terms.

9.1 Premium Subscription Terms

Premium subscriptions are billed on an annual basis unless otherwise specified. The Professional tier is billed at $499 annually. The Institutional tier is billed at $1,999 annually with multi-seat access for up to five users. Enterprise pricing is determined on a per-organization basis.

9.2 Cancellation and Refunds

Premium subscriptions may be cancelled at any time by contacting info@discoverriyadh.ai. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial subscription periods. Access to premium content continues until the end of the paid subscription period.

9.3 Data Feed Usage

Institutional and Enterprise subscribers who access structured data feeds via API agree to use such data solely for internal business purposes. Redistribution, resale, or public republication of raw data feeds is prohibited without prior written consent. Data feed access is subject to rate limits and fair use policies communicated at the time of provisioning.

9.4 Premium Content Accuracy

Premium content, including market reports, event impact analyses, and tourism forecasts, is provided for informational purposes. While we apply rigorous verification standards as described on our Methodology page, premium data carries the same disclaimers of accuracy and warranty as described in Section 5 of these Terms.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The Vanderbilt Portfolio AG, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or relating to:

  • Your use of the Site.
  • Your violation of these Terms.
  • Your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party.
  • Any content you submit or transmit through the Site.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Site at any time, without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Site ceases immediately. All provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Site shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the Swiss Chambers’ Arbitration Institution, conducted in English.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and The Vanderbilt Portfolio AG regarding your use of the Site. These Terms supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

15. Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. A waiver of any term shall not be deemed a waiver of any other term.

16. Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights hereunder without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms without restriction.

17. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, pandemic, war, terrorism, labor disputes, government actions, power failures, or internet disruptions. This clause extends to event coverage disruptions — for example, when event organizers cancel or reschedule events (such as the cancellation of the 2026 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix from its originally scheduled April 17-19 date), we update our coverage as promptly as possible but are not liable for any decisions made based on pre-cancellation information published on the Site.

17A. Data and Statistics Disclaimer

The Site publishes tourism statistics, hotel market data, event attendance figures, and economic analyses sourced from third-party providers including the Saudi Ministry of Tourism, GASTAT, JLL, Knight Frank, STR, UNWTO, WTTC, and other organizations as detailed on our Methodology page. These figures — including but not limited to Saudi Arabia’s 122 million visitors in 2025, tourism spending of SR 300 billion, hotel occupancy rates, room supply projections, and event attendance numbers — are presented as reported by their original sources and are not independently audited by The Vanderbilt Portfolio AG.

Users should be aware that tourism statistics may be measured using different methodologies by different organizations, resulting in legitimate discrepancies between data sources. Hotel occupancy figures from JLL may differ from those reported by GASTAT or Knight Frank. Event attendance figures reported by organizers may use different counting methods than independent assessments. We present these data points in good faith based on the best available sources but cannot guarantee their absolute accuracy.
